Advocacy
As our mission statement reads; AIA Chesapeake Bay is committed to empowering architects by design. Advocacy is a large part of what we do. Our board, comprised of members from across our chapter region, is continually offering insight and sharing issues facing us all on a local level. We also work closely with AIA Maryland as a conduit for our members such that their concerns are expressed at the state level.
If you have an issue you would like to see addressed, please contact us.

Maryland Architects PAC
Founded in 1995, the Maryland Architects PAC works hand-in-hand with AIA Maryland to achieve its legislative goals. The PAC enables member architects to more fully participate in electing and re-electing legislators who understand and support our profession, our livelihood and our issues.
A donation to the Maryland Architects PAC helps ensure that the voice of our profession is heard by your state legislators. Consider donating today HERE or make your checks payable to Maryland Architects PAC and mail to:

State Representatives
Contacting your state representatives directly is an effective way to make them aware of the issues that we as architects are facing. Find your state legislator(s) HERE. Use the ‘Who represents me?’ link at the top right to search by your address.
Congressional Representatives
Congress recognizes that architects are vital to crafting public policy solutions that impact their constituents. Use the AIA Architect Action Center to directly message them. The more architects who weigh in, the more effective our collective influence will be to positively impact these and other important issues facing the profession, our businesses, and the communities we serve.
